Fred. Olsen Windcarrier AS is wholly owned by Fred. Olsen companies, carrying on a tradition from 1848 when the Fred. Olsen family first entered the shipping business.
Fred. Olsen Windcarrier AS is owned 50/50 by Bonheur ASA and Ganger Rolf ASA (listed on Oslo Stock Exchange).
The Company has its offices in Oslo, Norway, and Fredericia, Denmark.
Fred. Olsen Windcarrier AS’ management has broad experience, combining knowledge from the expanding offshore wind industry with extensive offshore oil and gas experience.
In February 2010 the company placed an order with the Lamprell shipyard for two self-elevating self propelled jack-up installation vessels which will be delivered and ready for operation medio 2012.
The company will have 5 service boats in operation by Q1 2012 with the intention to expand further in the near future.
